About:
Bees are one of the hardest working insects on the planet. The 20,000 bee species in the world are key to the pollination of hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of crops including coffee and chocolate. But many bee species are at the brink of extinction due to human activities. On April 28th, join Dr. Shalene Jha as she discusses her research on bee populations and shares the secrets of their amazing world. This event is free but registration is required. Registration will be available in early April. For details please visit http://www.esi.utexas.edu/outreach/hot-science-cool-talks/
