Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary is a private, non-profit zoo, with over 350 animals across a hundred different species and is a forever home for our rescued animals. Check our website for “Daily Zookeeper Talks” schedule, a map of the zoo, and tips for planning your visit. You can purchase tickets online before you visit!
Zoo memberships and gift certificates are now available. We also offer birthday parties, summer camps and field trips.
Our outreach programs where we bring the zoo to you can be tailored to fit a variety of age groups and settings. From schools to retirement homes to company events to camps, our programs will both educate and entertain! Each outreach program includes meeting several of our ambassador animals up close and personal! To schedule an educational program visit or to get more information, please email our Education Manager at education@austinzoo.org.
All aboard! There is a train at the zoo that is appropriate for all ages. Train ride tickets must be purchased separately at the Train Depot in the zoo when visiting.
Check our website for special events like our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, a special Fall event “Boo at the Zoo”, Saturday Camps, fundraisers and more!
