Schlitterbahn Ticket Giveaway!

The Austin Kid’s Directory is giving away a family 4-pack of tickets to the New Braunfels Schlitterbahn!!! All you need to do is send an email to contest@kidsdirectory.com with you favorite tip about enjoying the park. A winner will be randomly chosen and notified on Wednesday, July 17th…yes that’s all you have to do!

Schlitterbahn is a yearly ritual for many families in the Austin area. We are so lucky to be close enough to make a day trip to one of the best water parks around! One of the most appealing features is that you can bring your own food and drinks! Check out the Schlitterblog for more great tips about how to get the most from your visit. A recent entry offered 3 basic tips:

Parking: Come early or park in the fairgrounds and take the free tram.

What to Wear: Bring water shoes, hats, sunglasses that strap or tie on, liberal amounts of sunscreen.

Line Optimization: Arrive early, pick a slow day (Wednesday, a holiday or a day when it’s rained a little), make a plan (if there is one ride you must ride, do it first) and look for the signs about wait times to help you decide about waiting in a line.
